Tracking my child’s screen time and can’t turn off!

I just noticed today that the app (installed only on my phone) is not just tracking my screen time habits but also those of one of my sons who I manage as a family member on iOS. If I toggle his off I get the attached screenshot message which indicates mine is also turned off. I can’t turn mine on without his being on! How is this possible and how do I fix it?

Hey there @Katie_Rutland,

Apologies for the delay in reply! Our Support team is currently backlogged. We’re currently investigating what’s happening here, as we’ve observed some changes to how iOS 26.5 is reporting screen time, as well as reporting screen time that is tracked across Family Groups. On that note, if you can contact support in app by navigating to your Settings > Contact Support, we can grab your user logs and add this to our investigation report. We can then also let you know when the experience has been improved.

Sorry for the trouble,
Team Opal
